A little bit about me...
My name is Michael Gillespie and I am a Washington, DC area real estate broker, investor, and general partner with deep roots in the region. Born in Washington, DC and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland, I bring a lifelong understanding and domain expertise to the Montgomery County and Washington DC markets, both areas in which I have managed to build a career advising clients and deploying capital.
As a prep student, I was a three-year starter under legendary high school football coach Bob Milloy and went on to letter in football at both Georgia Tech and the University of Maryland. Those experiences helped develop many of the leadership skills, team building and competitive spirit I use today in my real estate business.
Professionally, I am the co-founder and principal broker of SOL & MAISON Real Estate and hold active roles as both an investment manager and general partner in a Bethesda-based real estate investment firm. I am currently licensed in DC, MD, VA and FL and have spent more than 15 years as an investor and licensed agent in both the residential and commercial sectors. Those experiences have helped me source opportunities for my team, creatively structure transactions, and manage investments on behalf of my partners and clients for the better part of a decade.
Complementing my real estate career is a 25-year background in information technology as a systems architect, cybersecurity and project manager. My foundation in management and tech helps drive my approach to real estate investing and asset management and I am often able to pass use these skills to the benefit of my clients in helping them achieve their desired outcomes in real estate.
I am looking forward to getting to know you and helping you achieve your goals in real estate.
